Helps First Nations and Indigenous on Disability with accessing and navigating the health care system.
The Indigenous Health Care Advocacy program staff help First Nation clients understand their FHNA Health benefits and Person with Disabilities (PWD) clients understand their health care benefits. They help clients navigate the health care system from beginning to the end where they receive a product or service. They guide clients every step of the way, helping to clarify miscommunications/misunderstandings, write letters of appeal/complaints and also connecting with Indigenous resources.
Eligibility: Status Indigenous or on PWD (Disability).
Cities Served: Vancouver, Richmond, New Westminster, Surrey, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Langley. Burnaby.
